5 . The value of G1 derives from the sum of the values of the positive outcomes, that is, of superordinate Gs that one expect to be achieved (Pros), minus the sum of the expected negative outcomes: the possibly frustrated Gs (Cons). However, it is clear that this presupposes some given value of the "top/terminal" goals, of the "ends" or "motives". The final motives and their value depend on the subject's age, gender, personality, personal experience and learning, cultural values, etc. - For the felt Gs, the principle is completely different: the more intense the current actual or imagined sensation (for example, the disturbing stimulus, when one feels a "need" for something, or the imagined pleasure when one "foretastes" some pleasant experience; or the associated and evoked "somatic markers") the more pushing and stronger the G.

Or I had a very strong preference for the train? It depends on how costly is the alternative (taking the car). ". And how costly, risky, would be choosing to take the train and then get a strike? Can I find a remedy, or I would miss the conference? 10 This fact (having sophisticated theories of decision and yet very little models of goal dynamics) nicely illustrates a paradoxical situation. That a theory of goals be a prerequisite for a principled theory of decision-making might look obvious and already well acknowledged in the literature, but it is not so: the state of our ontology and theory of goals for an adequate description of decision-making is really dismal.

2. Main algorithms of the Data Store Generator component – Read the ontology model from owlFile into the internal representation onto. – Parse onto and extract the map dataMap between concepts and datatype properties — function GET DATAT YPE P ROPERTIES — and the map relMap between concepts and object properties (roles) — function GET O BJECT P ROPERTIES. – Visit the ontology by traversing the concept hierarchy with the function VISIT O N TOLOGY and create the graph dbGraph containing part of the relational model corresponding to onto.
